Directions

From Thornton Dale, (on the A170 near Pickering) turn north at the crossroads, by the village green, on the minor road signposted for Whitby. After about 2km turn right onto the forest drive, after about 1km go through the toll and continue down the forest drive to Low Dalby.
The road turns to the right and leads over a bridge, and some speed humps, then turns sharp left. Parking is available on the right or a short distance to the left, and we are in one of the buildings on the right.

From the north, leave the Pickering-Whitby road (A169) at the Fox and Rabbit, a large pub and farm which stands alone at the high point of the moor, and take the minor road posted for Thornton Dale. Follow the road for around 4km then turn left onto the forest drive and through the toll to Low Dalby.

Public Transport

We are a little off the beaten track, but the Moorsbus does travel to Low Dalby regularly throughout the summer months.
